Mississauga’s Graham Construction wins major Canadian Forces building contract.

The Mississauga office of Graham Construction and Engineering Inc. has been awarded a major design-build contract with the federal government estimated to be worth $54 million.

The contract is for a new 10,052 square metre building to be built for the Canadian Forces Military Police Academy located at the Canadian Forces Base Borden.

Graham Construction’s contract for the new facility includes studies, design, construction, administration and taxes.

As part of the construction process, five buildings currently being used by the Military Police Academy will be demolished.

However, a press release from the federal government said the new facility would consolidate all the Academy’s functions while accommodating an increased demand in basic and specialized training.

Recently, Member of Parliament for Simcoe-Grey Dr. Kellie Leitch broke ground on the project.

Graham Construction and Engineering Inc. is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. The company has eight offices across Canada, including one in Mississauga located on Edwards Boulevard. Graham Construction employs over 1,300 professionals and office staff and has annual revenues exceeding $2.0 billion.
