The National Pharmaceutical Congress will address problems in pharma marketing at its one-day conference in Mississauga next week.
The 7th annual industry event at the Mississauga Convention Centre on Derry Road West will have panels on patient loyalty, privacy and other topics related to the life sciences, pharm and biotech industries.
“It’s a very different sort of event for business-to-business,” conference co-chair Mitch Shannon told YourMississaugaBiz.com. “It’s also highly interactive through the use of touchpads so we get real-time feedback.”
Local companies that will be represented at the event include Cipher Pharmaceuticals, Genzyme Canada, Hoffman-LaRoche Canada, and Sanofi Canada.
Shannon, who is also the publisher at Chronicle Companies, estimated about 100 – 125 delegates will attend the congress.
The 11th annual Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame Ceremony is also set to take place the same day as the conference, which will be held on April 10. About 200 – 250 people are expected to attend the luncheon.
Mike Egli, president of Oakville medical company Takeda Canada, is one of this year’s Marketing Hall of Fame six inductees.
